Without properly prepping your skin, you\u2019re missing out on achieving optimal spray tan results.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s the first thing I should do before a spray tan?<\/b><\/h3>\n

It\u2019s best to exfoliate your skin during the days leading up to your spray tan in order to take off any dead skin cells. Exfoliating is key to achieving long-lasting color, but don\u2019t do it the day of! Smooth, exfoliated skin will allow the spray solution to adhere to the skin better for a more even glow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When should I shave?<\/b><\/h3>\n

Be sure to shave at least 24 hours before your spray tan. If you\u2019ve forgotten, the soonest you should shave before your tan is four hours.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Will wearing makeup affect my spray tan results?<\/b><\/h3>\n

Makeup can act as a barrier to the spray solution, making it harder for the color to stick. We recommend taking off all face makeup prior to your spray tan session.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What should I wear for my spray tan?<\/b><\/h3>\n

Not sure what to wear for your spray tan? It’s always best to wear dark, loose-fitting clothing. In order to protect your newly bronzed color, avoid wearing tight clothes to prevent the spray solution from rubbing off or leaving unwanted marks.<\/span><\/p>\n

When should I spray tan?<\/b><\/h3>\n

After your initial spray session, the solution will continue to get darker over the next 8 hours. We highly recommend coming in for your spray tan in the evening and sleeping with the solution on. Who wouldn\u2019t want to wake up with a beautiful, bronzed glow?! For special occasions, we recommend getting your spray tan 1-2 days prior.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When can I shower after a spray tan?<\/b><\/h3>\n

Spray tan solution typically takes 8 hours to fully develop, so if you want the darkest results possible, wait 8 hours before showering, or sleep in the solution overnight! The solution will not keep developing beyond 8 hours, so no need to worry about getting too dark if you sleep with it on. You can also add an accelerator to your spray tan, which cuts the development time in half to only 4 hours! Once you do shower, be sure to take precautions to preserve your tan. Patting your skin gently dry will give your tan the soft care it needs to stay golden longer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How do I maintain my color?<\/b><\/h3>\n

The more hydrated your skin is, the longer the color will last! To keep skin hydrated, we love using the Hemp Nation Aftercare Lotions (available at iTAN).
